Microsoft has recently released an upgrade for OneNote for Mac that now includes the ability to connect to OneDrive for Business in Office 365. Previously it was limited to local notebooks or notebooks on the consumer version of OneDrive.
This means that you can use your OneNote notebooks in your OneDrive for Business via Office Online, using OneNote on your Windows PC, on your mobile device and now on your Mac. This provides the final piece in the flexibility puzzle that many businesses have been looking for.
Unfortunately, there is no word on when a new version of Office for Mac might become available. Don’t overlook the fact that many Office 365 subscriptions provide the ability to install a desktop version of Office on up to 5 desktop PCs or Mac machines.
OneNote is one of those hidden gems that many businesses have not discovered and now, with OneNote being included in all versions of Office and free on all platforms, there is no reason to not start looking at the benefits that OneNote can provide.
OneNote, for example, provides an excellent method to manage projects rather than continually bouncing emails backwards and forwards. You can have as many notebooks as you like and you can continue to use them offline and be confident that everything will sync back up when you regain connectivity to the Internet.
