Meet the Correct Field Technicians

Continuing with our award winning series on the team@correct, it is time to unveil the ones we allow out of their window-less, dungeon-like, preferred habitat, our unsung heroes – the field techs. These are the guys that come to your offices and patiently assist with all manner of installations, upgrades, downloads and uploads, and magically make things work properly.

First up is Ben – he is the boy racer you met in an article published last year. He is still racing and most weekends you will find him working on one of his 2 cars or racing his “Track-Hack”. Ben has spent the last 3 years primarily looking after our retail based clients and has a lot of experience with Point of Sale. His secret super power is his skill set with Apple products – it is handy to have an Apple certified associate in a Microsoft house sometimes (sometimes….)!

Colin is one of our more “senior” field techs in more ways than one! After 14 years with Correct, he has seen the inside of most of our client’s server rooms during scheduled site visits and the various projects he has been involved with. He is remarkably active for someone in IT (and his advanced years!) and keeps himself out of trouble with cycling, running and AFL. “Sarge” (Col is exarmy) is also a keen photographer and is about to use this skill during his upcoming trip to Gallipoli for the 100th Anniversary Dawn Service.

Derek is our quiet achiever – humble and kind, nothing is too much trouble for this 8 year veteran. He is happiest when he is on-site, elbow deep in solving YOUR problem. Away from work, he is another fitness freak, who likes Pina Coladas, getting caught in the rain and going with his wife and dogs for long walks on the beach. Regularly cooking up delicious “experiments” for the office he is currently planning his next overseas trip. He is also a consistent contributor to our blog with his interest in gadgets and all things shiny!

Last but not least is Lin. In his own words, he loves working for Correct. He is our senior engineer (although nowhere near as “senior” as Colin) looking after complex networks and server set ups, as well as being our resident Cisco expert. He often works with Ryan on the solution architecture side of things, which after 7 years and the pace of technology, is still a challenge that he really enjoys. At home he is dad to 2 little girls and when he has some spare time (yeah right) he enjoys his salt water fish tanks.
